We are a founder-led, family-run business and proud of it!

Boarderie is founder-led, family-run business and proud of it! Founders Angel, Rachel, Aaron and Julie (left to right in photo) started in 2021.

Before Boarderie, Aaron and Julie ran a gourmet hospitality business together in Palm Beach, FL. They began small, but their creativity and flair soon set them apart. In short order, they had projects across the country, and counted celebrities like Bruce Springsteen and Prince Harry as clients.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, all of their events were canceled and they needed to pivot to stay afloat. So they teamed up with co-founders Rachel and Angel and set out to answer a deceptively easy question: what would it take to make catering-quality cheese boards that can be delivered beautifully, to anywhere? The answer would take many sleepless nights and require the team to (literally!) bet the farm on the idea. In 2021, Boarderie was born.

At Boarderie, we love what we do, and it turns out our customers do, too. After a record-breaking few years, we’re only just getting started. Join us and discover what’s inspiring people across the country to make the upgrade to an entirely new way to gift grazing.

Our production process Production process

01.

Production size

Many of our artisanal cheeses are crafted in small, limited batches, ensuring exceptional quality throughout the process.

02.

Handcrafted

Artisanal cheeses are crafted by hand using traditional methods, like our Wine Bathed Ubriacone from Italy.

03.

Quality ingredients

Artisanal cheesemakers source top-quality milk from local farmers, like the premium sheep milk in our Moliterno al Tartufo.

Individual attention & local influence

Artisanal cheesemakers closely oversee every step, from temperature to humidity and aging. Artisan cheese reflects the region’s soil, climate, and vegetation. Our Peppadew Pepper White Cheddar, for example, is made in New York.

Our commitment to
social & environmental responsibility

  • Commitment to sustainability

We are committed to creating a sustainable global future. We balance profit and purpose. We put our employees and customers first and grow our business to create a cycle of doing more good for the planet and society while we grow. By reviewing our practices, establishing better waste management initiatives, and evaluating our overall supply chains, we are able to take measurable steps to creating a greener future.

  • Eco-friendly shipping & materials

Boarderie ships using corrugated cardboard boxes made from 70% recycled materials which are 100% curbside recyclable. Our insulated liners are made from 100% recycled fiber material and are 100% curbside recyclable. Boarderie uses drain safe ice packs which can either be refrozen and reused or cut open and poured down the kitchen sink while the plastic from the ice packs can be recycled as well. Our bamboo trays and cutlery kits are biodegradable and the Acaci wood boards are a reusable keepsake item. Our cardboard that we receive from vendor shipments is recycled.

  • Social responsibility & inclusive employment

All of our excess cheese and meat remainders from the production process are donated twice a week to The Lord’s Place and are repurposed in meals to feed the homeless. Boarderie donates over 300 pounds a week (over 15,600 pounds per year) which will feed 7,800 people this year. We value our work and being a part of a team that feels like family. We want everyone to have this sense of purpose, that’s why we hire adults with developmental disabilities from The Arc of Palm Beach County. These team members earn the same wages as the rest of the team, and perform necessary tasks such as taping shipping boxes, loading trucks and sorting brochures. We believe everyone deserves the chance to feel part of something and know the sense of satisfaction and purpose that comes with productive work.
