Aaron Menitoff - Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Boarderie
Aaron Menitoff
A career chef and hospitality operator who spent two decades catering Palm Beach events, for guests from Prince Harry to Bruce Springsteen, then turned a pandemic shutdown into Boarderie - the first company shipping fully-arranged, catering-quality cheese and charcuterie boards nationwide.
About
Aaron Menitoff is a co-founder and co-CEO of Boarderie, the first and only company shipping completely pre-assembled, catering-quality cheese and charcuterie boards nationwide - ready to serve straight from the box, with award-winning artisan ingredients sourced from around the world. He runs the company alongside co-CEO Rachel Solomon, with his wife Julie Menitoff and Angel Jerez as co-COOs.
He came to it as a chef. Aaron took a B.A. in communications and psychology at the University of Michigan, then trained formally in culinary arts and food and beverage management at Florida Culinary Institute, working restaurant kitchens along the way. He and Julie went on to spend 20 years building a gourmet hospitality business in Palm Beach, Florida - Wellington Hospitality Group - catering high-end events and private gatherings for clients including Prince Harry and Bruce Springsteen.
When the pandemic canceled every event on their books overnight, the couple pivoted to delivering charcuterie, teamed up with Rachel Solomon and Angel Jerez, and launched Boarderie in 2021. The company now ships to all 50 states and turns out roughly 3,000 boards a day, scaling from about 24 year-round staff to 160 through the Thanksgiving-to-New-Year peak.
